This is the SBGN wiki, a community-editable area where members of the SBGN community can write about SBGN topics and proposals for SBGN's continued evolution. This wiki is more suitable for writing longer and more static documents, whereas the SBGN Mailing Lists are more suitable to rapid dialogue between people.

SBGN being as new as it is, there is a lot of exciting ongoing development taking place. We gather information about SBGN development activities.
SBGN is largely developed through meetings. We sometimes are careful enough to record meeting minutes. See also the pages describing the various events.
SBGN is a community effort, and its development is coordinated by editors ho are democratically elected each years. You can find more information on current editors and their duties. We also record the results of past elections.
In order to stimulate the implementation of SBGN support, and the use of the notation, an annual competition is organized.

Formal definition
The BioUML group has created a formal definition of SBGN in XML.
Experimental implementations
Various groups involved in SBGN are experimenting with visual notations. There is a separate page devoted to notes and links about them.
Survey of notations
A separate page is devoted to various efforts to survey and catalog different graphical notations for biological networks.
